The 2013 Barry Sheene Festival of Speed is again shaping up to be bigger than the 2012.
The Kiwis are back in increased numbers to contest Round 1 of the “Trans-Tasman Challenge”.
2012 saw the “Trans-Tasman Challenge” become a true international series with Round 1 in Australia at the BSFOS and Round 2 held in New Zealand at Hampton Downs International Raceway in October 2012, again the Kiwis are “gloating” over their overall series win 469 to 436 points.
Some of the riders taking part in this year’s event will be Robbie Phillis, Mal Campbell, Glenn Hindle and Cameron Donald in the solo races, with Shane Soutar, Doug Chivas and the all-girl team of Chrissie Clancy and Leanne March in the sidecar races.
Round 1 of the Australian Formula 1 Sidecar Championships will again be run at the BSFOS.
Yamaha Motor Corporation Australia, is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the launch of the Yamaha TZ Race Bikes, there will be displays of all the TZ models from TZ 125 through to TZ 750 machines.
As well as the racing over the weekend, there will be plenty of Trade Stands and Bike club displays, to keep you amused between races and official merchandising at the PCRA Stand as well as the ever popular H.A.R.T Honda Spectator Parade laps on the Sunday during the lunch break – remember registration MUST be in by Friday 8th March, so download the entry form and register now

Sunday will again see the Show and Shine, so bring your bike along and enter; you might even win yourself a trophy.
